I was a temp for about 5 years back in the day. For those of you who have never been a temp. Let me explain how it works. They are supposedly given a certain amount of time to hire you. You are in a tentative position, kind of like a try out. It's suppose to benefit you and the company because they are able to check your skillset and compatibility before and actual hire.
Let me tell you what usually happens to the hopeful, and naively aspiring temp. Most often these companies will use, and use, and use them some more without any regard to making this poor temp permanent. Even that offers little security since most states are at will (able to fire without cause or justification) The only one who really benefits from the temp arrangement is the company.
. They get to pay significantly less than they would a regular employee
. They can let the temp go at anytime with a simple phone call to the agency
. No severance, sick pay, or vacation time is allotted for temps
. Temps are NOT allowed any pay for days off, holiday, or COL allowances.
If a temp misses a day of work, an irate boss can make the call that ends that assignment, at the very least she will not be paid for that day regardless of the reason for the absence. Bottom line, being a temp sucks, and is a very misleading position. Few people are ever really elevated from the position of temp to actual employee. And even then, it's completely at some airhead manager's whim. I once saw a manager fire (end the assignment) of a temp because she did not offer to carry a load for the manager's daughter. Even though she reluctantly did it when asked, the fact that she did not offer irritated the manager and she was let go.
The reason I started this blog is because I know what it's like to struggle. I know what it's like to not have two nickels to rub together. I know exactly what it feels like to drive a car so ugly you have to park around a corner and scurry away from it so people wont see you getting out....
I know about all of that. I know about sleepless nights and bill collectors, I know about wanting to break the chain of poverty so bad, you cry yourself to sleep, but you just don't know HOW! That's why this blog came to be. There are SOOOOO many good Americans just like me and I am soooo tired of seeing them suffer! You deserve better! You deserve to be able to have a beautiful house you are proud of, and drive a Mercedes if that's what you want. You deserve to have someone really HELP you and not just come at you with fake concern while sticking their slimy hand in your pocket! We've all been there. I've bought so many get rich bs I could have put the money in the bank instead and had a very healthy balance. But the ads were sooooo tempting, and I was soooo desperate. They saw me coming. I was on every sucker's list out there. I remember one ad that promised if you did not make a certain amount of money, they would give you a double refund. I thought ok, so I'm covered if this does not work out-lets do it. Well I paid my money think it was about 50.00. So anyway, after receiving the package, I realized it was totally unworkable. I decided to activate my so called refund. Well, when I tried to call -no answer, and no callback so I wrote the company and explained I wanted my money back according to their policy. I received a form letter back claiming the FTC had put them out of business and they therefore owed me nothing! This is typical for get rich quick trash. Ladies and Gents don't be fooled. Someone is definitely getting rich from these ads -but it ain't you and never will be!
Are there legitimate ways to become rich-absolutely! but they usually are not as fast or as easy as most of us would like. The purpose of this blog is to show you some of the REAL ways that worked for me or people I know are honestly pursuing a certain business and help you to find a nitch that works for you
